The Borough of Ellwood City offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.  At our office you may pay your electric bills, apply for permits, and obtain information for most other issues regarding the Borough.  The Borough manager's office, the police department, water department, zoning and codes offices are located here.

Recycling Program:

The Borough of Ellwood City offers a recycling program for area residents. Waste Management is now service Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. As customers of Waste Management, Ellwood City residents now enjoy single-stream recycling. All of your recyclables can be placed together in the same bin -- no sorting required! Place recyclables in blue containers provided by the Borough, and place container at the curb for collection on designated days. 

Items currently being accepted are: Aluminum food and beverage containers, glass food and beverage containers, natural and pigmented plastics, ferrous, newsprint, junk mail, magazines and catalogs, and flattened carboards. 

Wax or coated paper or cardboard, any material with food debris, batteries, styrofoam, light bulbs, wood or yard waste, wire, and other hazardous or toxic substances are not acceptable items.
