Arts, Crafts, and Food Festival
Ellwood
City is host to the annual festival that showcases more than 200 art and craft
booths. A wide variety of canvas and slate paintings, as well as handmade,
reasonably priced crafts from candles to curtains, jewelry to stained glass,
wooden gifts to woven hammocks.
As you approach the festival and just as all the trees come into view, take
a deep breath. You will be surrounded with all the wonderfully different
aromas of over 30 different food and beverage booths. You won't know where
to start. So come hungry, your nose will lead the way to your favorites.
Find a shaded picnic table and enjoy. Then walk it off and start all over
again.
The Festival offers something for everyone: bands playing rock and roll,
country, and gospel; chorale groups and other vocal groups; dance
recitals, such as ballet, tap, square dancing, and clogging; and on Sunday
morning the festival provides a nondenominational church service. Although seating is
provided, you may want to bring your own lawn chair to ensure your comfort
throughout the day.
This festival is not just for the adults. There is a "Kids Corner" with face
painting, sand sculptures, and many other activities tailored just for them.
To close out the festivities there will be a fabulous fireworks finale
sponsored by the Festival Committee. Ooh's and aah's will be heard
throughout the park. The Zambelli Fireworks are always a sight to behold and
are the perfect end to a perfect family day.
