Ellwood City Area School
District
The Ellwood City Area School District is committed to
providing students with a high quality education and to prepare them as
responsible citizens in a continually changing world. In the search for
excellence, every effort will be made to create conditions in which all
students can learn. There are four elementary schools to accompany
the junior/senior high school that comprise the Ellwood City Area School District.
Over 900 students attend the Junior and Senior High School.
Lincoln High School's three-story facility contains two
gymnasiums, science and technology laboratories, metal and wood shops
and arts and crafts facilities. The large cafeteria and commons
area accompany the administrative offices near the main entrance to
Lincoln High School.
High expectations have been established for students and staff to foster
an enthusiasm for learning and the mastery of essential skills necessary
to function effectively in the twenty-first century.
The education curriculum at Lincoln High School aims to provide an
excellent,
well rounded education to all students. Since a large majority of
students continue their education beyond high school, a strong emphasis
is placed on college preparation.
