R.C. Stiefel Park

Stiefel Park is located high on the southern hills within the Borough of Ellwood City.  The main causeway into Stiefel Park, Hack Wilson Drive, is named after a famous Ellwoodian and Major League Baseball record holder Hack Wilson.  Wilson play in the early 20th Century for the Chicago Cubs and still holds the Major League Record for RBI's in one season with 191.  Following Hack Wilson drive into Stiefel park will lead you to a number of fields, including the softball field for which the Lincoln High School softball teams competes.  From Stiefel Park a viewer can look out over the distance into Franklin Township and Beaver County, neighboring township and county of Ellwood City.

Men's Softball Field: (pictured right)

A large softball field for men's play is located in the lower portion of the park.  The field hosts leagues and tournaments, spring through fall.  The field is equipped with dugouts, bleachers, press box, and lighting fixtures.

Women's Softball Fields:

Stiefel Park is home to two women's softball fields.  The women's softball field located in the upper portion of the park is host to Lincoln High School Girl's Softball home games.  Along with high school games, the lower field hosts numerous L'il Angels softball leagues for youth girls.  The fields are equipped with dugouts, bleachers, press boxes, scoreboards, and lighting fixtures.  There is also a small pavilion and concession stand close to the lower softball field.

Soccer Field:

A large soccer field is located in the main portion of Stiefel Park and is used for youth soccer matches as well as various other events, including youth football practices and camps.  The field was used for high school powder puff football games for many years until the games were moved to Helling Stadium in Ewing Park.

Dek Hockey Rink: (pictured right)

Hockey enthusiasts praise, a concrete hockey rink can be found in Stiefel Park and hosts a men's deck hockey league during summer and fall.  The 80-foot long rink is also open to the public.
